St. Thomas Boys' High School, Aldona was founded in 1923 by the late Mr. Edward Soares, a freedom fighter from Aldona, who dreamt of giving the boys of his village access to quality education. What began as a small school under local management has grown, over a century, into one of Bardez's most respected institutions for boys.

1923
Founded by Edward Soares
Mr. Edward Soares, a freedom fighter from Aldona, founded the school to provide the boys of his village with access to quality education — laying the foundation of what would become St. Thomas Boys' High School.
1956
Handed to the Diocese of Goa
Following the death of its founder, the running of the school passed to the Diocese of Goa, which continued its mission of educating the boys of Aldona and the surrounding villages.
1962
Entrusted to the Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales (M.S.F.S)
The school was handed over to the care of the Fransalian Fathers, who have run it ever since — bringing the Fransalian spirit of gentleness, reason, and firm discipline to generations of students.
2023
Centenary — 100 Years of St. Thomas
The school proudly celebrated its Platinum-to-Centenary milestone: 100 years of forming young men in knowledge, character, and faith, commemorated with a year of jubilee events for staff, students, and alumni.
